It’s an event you don’t want to miss this Saturday [January 24 11am] at 11 am at National Harbor just outside of the district [on the Potomac River in Maryland south of the I-495 Wilson Bridge]. Join Maryland Congresswoman Donna Edwards as well as America’s top climate scientist Dr. James Hansen – plus hundreds of other climate defenders like you. There will be hot chocolate and bagels beforehand – and $2 drinks at a cool bar next to the river beach right after the plunge. You don’t want to miss it.

If you do not plunge, you can come out and support and donate and have a good day.  Last year the air temperature was 18F.  This year should be warmer.

I am on family matter in Philadelphia PA and will most likely not attend the Plunge this year. is active locally, such as in supporting offshore (Atlantic Ocean) wind power in Maryland with 
Governor O'Malley: is also active as part of national and world-wide efforts to stop climate change, such as the fight against the Keystone XL pipeline, which President Obama recently turned down, but which House Majority leader, Bohner said he would seek to have the House reverse.
