Anti-Keystone Pipeline Walk at Mission Beach

SanDiego350.org is organizing a one hour, leisurely walk in Mission Beach, carrying our cardboard "Stop the Keystone Pipeline" sign and singing (there will be people assigned to lead the singing), entertaining folks and making people think about climate change. It's a great opportunity to meet others who care about this issue. Some background: The Keystone XL Pipeline is a proposed tar sands pipeline that would connect Alberta, Canada with Gulf Coast refineries that would transport 800,000 barrels per day of tar sands oil across the United States to be refined, exported and burned. Tar sands oil has a massive carbon footprint and the Keystone XL pipeline is the key to making burning that oil economically feasible.

I've done this in the past and it's a really fun time. You don't have to carry the sign- which is very light. You could walk beside us and help hand out informational flyers. Please come down and help us educate others on this tragic situation.
