Hi Sabina,

Thank you for your frank email. We all need a reality
check now and again!

I'm a new member, and I can say that the one meetup
that has been scheduled since I joined didn't fit into
my schedule. I organize another meetup, and that is
perhaps one of the greatest challenges: creating an
even day/time that fits into most member's schedules.
Maybe create a poll to see what days and times are
best for members.

Just wanting to offer support and suggestion. I, for
one, look forward to attending an event!

Hi Everyone!

I have been the Organizer of this group for 5 months
and we now have over 50 members. I have organized and
attended personally at least 5 meet-ups ranging from
beach clean-ups, to environmental movie nights to
brain-storming sessions on ways we can protect the

Turnout at these meet-ups has been dismal at best
(Only 2 members have attended events - 1 for the
"Inconvenient Truth" movie night and one for the
Encinitas Environment Day).

This has led me to believe that either A) I'm not
organizing the right kinds of events or B) That the 50
members of this group don't care enough about the
environment to make the time to do anything for it. I
hope it's not B.

My 6-month fee of $72 I paid to organize this group
expires on October 25th. Can anyone give me any reason
to renew my subscription because I really don't feel
inspired to do so at this point... I would rather
donate that $72 to an Environmental Organization.
