Calling everyone interested in saving water, the Sierra Club Water Resource Fair is here! On July 9th, from 7-9PM the West Los Angeles Group of the Sierra Club is proud to present a host of water conservation and water efficiency resources to help you reduce your water bills and mitigate the drought!
In participation, we will have the City of Culver City, West Basin Municipal Water District, Golden State Water Company, the Hero Program providing water efficiency project financing, LA Stormwater - LA's Watershed Protection Program, G3 Green Gardens Group, Rain Barrels International, Blue Sky Biochar, The Permaculture Academy, Eco-Friendly Custom Landscapes, Skillbuilders - Greywater Workshops, Turf Terminators, and many more! The City of Culver City will be unveiling its Water Conservation Plan at the event, every participant will receive a free sample of biochar, and we will be raffling off a free rain barrel, low-flow showerheads, aerators, and other water-saving items.
As an extra bonus, Sungevity will be there to answer questions about buying or leasing solar panels to address climate change - a causal factor of drought.
So come one, come all to our Water Resource Fair, which will be held in the Garden Room of the Culver City Veterans Memorial Auditorium, located at 4117 Overland Ave., Culver City, CA 90230.
This free educational event is sponsored by the West Los Angeles Group of the Sierra Club’s Angeles Chapter. Plenty of free parking. Refreshments are served. Feel free to bring a friend; all meetings are open to members and non-members of the Sierra Club.
