Los Angeles is a city known for many things -- but "hiking mecca" isn't always the first thing that leaps to people's minds. Since 2006, Modern Hiker founder Casey Schreiner has been working to change that perception, and his new book "Day Hiking Los Angeles" offers up 125 trails to change the way people think about L.A.
Schreiner will share some of the superlative trails around the L.A. region, answer your outdoor questions, and sell and sign copies of "Day Hiking Los Angeles."
This free educational event is sponsored by the West Los Angeles Group (http://sierrawest.us) of the Angeles Chapter of the Sierra Club.
