• What we'll do
In the first edition of London Erlang User Group's rebirth as London BEAM User Group, we'll be joined by the people behind Rekki, a stealth mobile startup. Talk title: Lessons in using Elixir to achieve business critical outcomes in a mobile startup

The business case and the motivation behind choosing Elixir / Phoenix / RabbitMQ as the core technology at Rekki. This will be followed by a more technical dive into some of the strategies that created a system that now handles around $10m worth of purchases per month.

The objective is to show how this stack can be used to build a system with very high reliability guarantees in face of poor device connectivity, without reinventing the wheel, and integrating with existing infrastructure

Speakers: Claudio Ortolina will be joined by Rekki CEO

About Rekki: Rekki is a stealth mobile startup based in London that has been in production since mid 2016. The product allows independent businesses (predominantly restaurants, bars, pubs, and cafes, but also convenience stores and hairdressers) to communicate with their teams and their suppliers.
