De qué se trata
This group is for anyone who is interested in challenging themselves to play their very best while being patient enough with others who might not be at their level. We will play all sorts of sports: tennis, wallyball, volleyball, beach volleyball, ultimate, soccer and whatever else anyone wants to try.
Participating in an active life is not without its own risks. In addition to offering active and challenging sportsing opportunities, we also offer advice on how to protect yourself with disability insurance. Free online information sessions will be offered on a quarterly basis based upon interest. For more information, please contact Mark MacGillivray via Meetup Message.
As of April 2020, The Calgary Sportsing Meetup has become an official group of Wallyball Canada. This enables us to promote wallyball to the wider world and have access to Wallyball Canada resources:

PLEASE REVIEW THE ENTIRE EVENT BEFORE SIGNING UP!
We will be meeting at Trail Courts for Wallyball, a game that combines the rules of volleyball and the general insanity of 4 walls and a ceiling.
New attendees are encouraged to arrive at 6:15 to change and go over the rules before hitting the courts at 6:30 pm.
The cost for this event has been extended to 2 hours and the cost increased to $8.00, e-Transfer preferred to wallyballcanada@gmail.com. This change is due to the extension of time plus a price increased levied by Trail Courts.
In order to play, you should:
- Possess solid foundation skills of volleying, bumping, and setting,
- You can serve consistently,
- Expect spiking and blocking as part of the game.
- Expect to play at a level where three hits per side is the standard.
- Call your shots.
This event is governed by the rules set out by Wallyball Canada (wallyball.ca) and can be found here:
We will play 2-on-2, 3-on-3 or 4-on-4 as dictated by the availability of courts and the number of players.
If you are interested in playing at a higher competitive level, please reach out to me directly. If there is enough interest, I will add invitational games to the schedule. - Mark MacGillivray
Also, there will be Learn to play sessions offered on the final Friday of the month. If you are interested in these sessions, please reach out to me directly.
