1978-2017 Our 39th Year The LONG ISLAND GREENBELT TRAIL CONFERENCE is a unique, non-profit grassroots organization that has created more than 200 miles of hiking paths on Long Island, including three National Recreation Trails. We are dedicated to protecting open space and our scenic Greenbelt trails for all to enjoy. We lead over 200 FREE GUIDED HIKES each year; and have donated a total of over 500,000 volunteer hours to Long Island’s parks and trails.
THIS EVENT REQUIRES A FEE. CHECK THE WEB LINK BELOW FOR DETAILS
Come join the fun as the Long Island Greenbelt Trail Conference hosts its third annual Bethpage State Park Beautification and Autumn BBQ on Saturday, September 28, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. We’ll have activities for all ages as we kick off the fall hiking season. Bring your family and friends!
This is a rain or shine event. We’ve reserved the sheltered Eagle Pavilion at Bethpage State Park in case the skies don’t cooperate. The pavilion is close to the volleyball, horseshoe, softball and basketball courts. We’ll have stickers, bubbles and other games for young kids and a 50/50 drawing so you can go home rich.
Participate in hikes of 3, 5 or 10 miles; help remove invasive English Ivy; or just party, meet new friends and enjoy the BBQ.
This event requires advanced registration and a fee to participate.
