Lo que haremos
We are on this island because we love the salt in the air, the proximity to crystal clear ocean waters, the rugged mountains, and the relaxed lifestyle. This provides us with energy to be creative and focused to build innovative businesses - island style.
A great example of entrepreneurship off the beaten path is Toon Coppens (https://www.linkedin.com/in/tocoppens/), one of the leading tech entrepreneurs and data scientists from Belgium. He has launched and exited several ventures from the town of Gent, including Twoo and Xpenditure (https://xpenditure.com). Currently, he runs real estate data intelligence service Realo (https://www.realo.es/en). He is also an investor in several startups. Like in so many entrepreneurial stories, his path has not always been smooth - he has seen his fair share of things going wrong. Toon will join us at the next Mallorca Startups Meetup to provide us with some insight into challenges and opportunities as viewed from the angle of the entrepreneur and from the angle of an investor.
More entrepreneurial experience comes from Derk Moeller (https://www.linkedin.com/in/derk-moeller-a9411/), who used to be responsible for the global loyalty/rewards division of arvato/Bertelsmann where he and his team developed and managed over 50 leading b2c and b2b loyalty programs for airlines, credit card companies, hotels, retailers, etc. During the past five years he has paved the way for "company bikes (http://company-bike-solutions.com/)" in big German enterprises as an incentive for employees and a contribution to save the planet. He and his wife Kerstin will present two new startup projects, Motormiles and Mallorca Sports Club.
This meetup will be hosted in The Boat House again, which offered their fantastic location for our last meetup. 2 drinks and some tapas included.
We are very much looking forward to seeing you.
