Ride With The Procrastinating Pedalers of Reno-Tahoe! We're Northern Nevada's largest group of bicycling enthusiasts!

Our Mission: The Procrastinating Pedalers of Reno’s Mission is to promote safe, non-competitive, recreational bicycle riding and healthy lifestyles in a fun, social atmosphere.

Procrastinating Pedalers primary goal for this Meetup Group site is to allow Procrastinating Pedalers Ride Leaders the ability to schedule rides, and for Members to see the schedule and plan ahead for it. The rides (Meetups) that are posted here, for the most part, are regularly occurring rides that typically happen each week. We will also post special event rides as well. Only designated Procrastinating Pedalers Ride Leaders have the ability to schedule Meetups on this site. This prevents an overload of extraneous rides, and reduces the level of e-mail notifications sent to the Membership.

As you begin to ride regularly with the Procrastinating Pedalers, you'll begin to become comfortably affiliated with a core group of riders that are close to your skill level. During the summer months, Procrastinating Pedalers usually hosts regular to semi-regular weekday rides on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday’s. A Sunday Meetup is scheduled year-round.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to check out the Ride Guide (http://www.meetup.com/Procrastinating-Pedalers-of-Reno-Tahoe/pages/Ride_Guide/), which will get you started in the right place. If you come out and the pace is too fast, feel free to ask for some training tips. We realize that your time is valuable to you and your cycling time is limited; choosing the correct ride for your fitness level is important and doing so will help ensure a positive group riding experience.

The Procrastinating Pedalers now welcome E-bikes on our rides. (Class 1,2 and 3). However, it is important to make sure that you, and the bike, are capable of safely doing the ride that you select. Review the ride description, the map/route sheet, or contact the ride host, for information about the ride.

Access to our Meetup site is free, but we encourage you to become a Procrastinating Pedalers member to take advantage of additional benefits such as: insurance coverage, discounts at participating bike shops, monthly club meetings, and social events. It's Fall Clean Up Time! Non-Riding Event.

Dorostkar Park

Join us for our Fall Clean up on Mayberry. The Pedalers have volunteered to clean a 1.3 mile stretch of Mayberry, from Fourth St. to Canyon Dr. (Where the Lamas are) We will meet at Dorostkar park at 1:00 PM. Bring work gloves if you can and dress for the weather. We will work rain or shine. Why: The Procrastinating Pedalers of Reno-Tahoe have sponsored about a mile of Mayberry Drive for the Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful Campaign. Signs are up on both sides of this corridor, reflecting that our club has adopted this section of the road. It is the busiest bicycling corridor in Northern Nevada! The Pedalers have committed to cleaning our spot at least 3 times a year and also to clean a "sponsored sight" once a year, a total of 4 cleanings. Please bring work gloves and wear your Pedaler’s Jerseys or club colors! Trash bags, some pick-up tools, and refreshments will be provided. See you there!
