Help Support ALN's Mission - Contribute Now! (http://paypal.me/activelifestylenerds)

Greetings! Welcome to the Active Lifestyle Nerds community, the friendliest Meetup group in San Diego. This meetup was designed to bring out your inner-nerd and introduce it to other inner-nerds around your area---with a slight twist. Let’s face it, the average person in a bar, club, or other common area where people socialize, often lacks the level of nerdism needed to have a good Fire Fly conversation or a discussion of “who shot first” (it was definitely Han Solo, folks).

This group is designed for the person that loves technology, Star Wars, comic books, Discovery Channel, the sciences, video games, or just about anything one would consider “geeky”, but not necessarily willing to share it with their friends.

This is especially true for you, ladies--often times the shiest and least willing to admit how into Naruto you really are. We want this to be a community where all “nerds” are accepted and given an opportunity to meet with other like-minded individuals.

Here’s the twist: Let’s break that “Nerd” stereotype and Assemble in non-nerdy locations throughout San Diego and beyond!

Ideally, anyone within the age range of 20-40 would benefit most from this group and overall experience but no one will be turned away!

Come have new adventures and meet new friends at ALN!

Stay active, stay nerdy.

Friday Beach Bonfire at Mission Bay

2604 N Mission Bay Dr

Time for another Friday Beach Bonfire! We will be holding it at the usual spot in De Anza Cove, but if anyone wants to get there early and claim a pit that would be most appreciated. We have a portable pit we can use in case of emergency, but a real pit would be better. This is a potluck event so everyone should bring some food or drink. We will have a grill so feel free to bring meat to cook along with anything else you would enjoy. We will need firewood, portable tables, plates, silverware, cups, paper towels, etc.. If anyone can bring a cooler we will need ice as well. When you get to the address you will head into the parking lot to your left (south of you) and we will try to get the furthest West double picnic tables and closest fire ring. The event starts at 4:30 pm so we can get a fire pit and picnic tables, but it goes well into the night so feel free to RSVP and come by whenever you can. If you have any questions or any trouble finding us just give me a call or text at (949)[masked]. Co-Organizer Note this is cross posted event. If you want to find fellow ALN members, I suggest you wear a nerdy shirt or something else that screams nerd.
