Take a walk in the shady Central Austin Hyde Park neighborhood

Hyde Park is a quaint and leafy residential area with homes dating back to Victorian times, many of which have been extensively expanded or remodeled. We'll meet in the parking lot of Fresh Plus Grocery at 408 E. 43rd St. and walk through the neighborhood for an hour and a half (about 3 miles). This is an easy, flat walk on city streets.

Directions: Take MOPAC to 45th St. and head east, past Guadalupe St. and turn right onto Duval St. Or, from I 35 take 45th St. west and turn left onto Duval St. Turn right onto E. 43rdSt. and the parking lot is on your right. There is also street parking.
