"The funny thing about vegans..." (all-vegan comedy night!)

Karamel Vegan Restaurant

• CARL DONNELLY • CHRIS STOKES • ADELE CLIFF • DAVE CHAWNER (MC) • "The funny thing about vegans" is an all-vegan comedy night, with an all-vegan line-up, in an always all-vegan venue. As far as we can tell, that's a first for London! Performances will come from the multi award-winning Carl Donnelly, the "laid back, disarming and very funny" (British Comedy Guide) Chris Stokes, and the "must-see" (Huffington Post) Adele Cliff - with the best-selling Dave Chawner as your MC for the evening. This is a ticketed event. Buy your ticket from http://bit.ly/LVM-FTAV for a tenner, and save a fiver on the door price. FOOD Karamel is expected to be offering two special thalis on the night (an Indian thali and an African thali). ACCESSIBILITY Karamel is a wheelchair-accessible venue, with a folding ramp to help customers over the doorsill to the main entrance. But we're likely to be using the second entrance just past the main entrance, which should be more accessible. The venue also has a wheelchair-accessible toilet (just inside this second entrance - behind the bar, and towards the front of the building.) MORE DETAILS https://www.facebook.com/events/455189008626920/ (includes video clips of the performers). TICKETS £10 in advance (no booking fee) from http://bit.ly/LVM-FTAV £15 on the door (if there are any left!) ANYTHING ELSE? End time is an estimate!

Walking With Vegans > Chalfont and Latimer to Chesham!

Entrance to Farringdon Station

Join me for another Buckinghamshire walk..... :) I've done part of this walk before, but then got bitten by a distressed Glis Glis ( a Dormouse ), that me & two walkers were trying to rescue.... So I didn't quite get to enjoy the rest of the walk..... :) This time hopefully it'll be different :) Please Bring ~> *Sensible walking shoes *Plenty of water, vegan snacks for the train and picnic stuff for lunch *Only RSVP if you can handle walking for several hours ; this won't be a hike, it'll be a calm hour or so walking, then rest, then walking again, then rest or nearest pub, etc, so it's not going to be a trek, but it will be several miles :) Looking forward to another walk :) See you there! :)

Brixton Geekstraveganza [now on Sundays!]

The Queen’s Head

A regular long afternoon and evening of board/card games! Bring your favourite ones or just your inner geek -- we usually have games for everyone 🤓 Arrive whenever you like, stay as long as you want: new games will be starting as people come in, with often one or two that can be joined at any given time. Look out for one of the hosts if you'd like to be introduced to other attendees. Here's a list of games that are frequently available at our events: https://boardgamegeek.com/collection/user/geekstraveganza You can read a description of each game, and if anything tickles your fancy don't hesitate to post a message on the event to ask for a specific game (although we can't guarantee that the owner will attend or bring it). Also, you can preview the rules of some of our most loved games here: http://bit.ly/BoardgameRules -- but this is not at all required, we're always happy to teach/explain games to new players. Accessibility: this venue is accessible but unfortunately it has no accessible toilets.

Vegan Baking Group 22: Tropical

Dogstar

Like a pot luck, but with cake. This is the twenty second meeting of a vegan baking group, designed for members to show off their baking skills and share their creations. How it works: each meeting will have a theme. RSVP and bring along something you've baked to fit the theme. Share cake, discuss cake, have a drink. Simple. This month, we are thinking palm-fringed beaches and sunny weather. Think coconuts, mangos, papaya, pineapple... The rules: 1) Every attendee must bring something to share (cake, bread, pie, tart, etc.). It must be baked, and it should be large enough to share (e.g. a dozen cupcakes, a cake large enough to cut into 12 slices). No exceptions- it's a baking group, you kind of have to bake. 2) Everything must be vegan- no meat, fish, dairy, eggs, honey or any animal-derived products. If you're not sure about an ingredient, there are plenty of people who can help, so just ask. 3) Sharing is very much encouraged, so feel free to bring a box for leftovers. 4) Please bring an ingredient list for your bake. Accessibility: access is via a small step, and our usual spot up another step, although we can easily relocate. Toilets are downstairs.
