Mozilla is very excited to have launched a global Equal Rating Innovation Challenge. This challenge is designed to spur innovation and new thinking in providing affordable access to the Internet and cultivating digital literacy. These solutions may range from consumer products and novel mobile services to new business models and infrastructure proposals. Mozilla will award US$250,000 in funding and provide expert mentorship to bring these solutions to the market.
This meetup will focus on Equal Rating practices and will be lead by Jochai Ben-Avie
Mozilla’s Senior Global Policy Manager
Best practices in Equal rating ensure the internet is
• Not subject to gatekeepers
• Does not allow pay-for-play
• Provides access to all content and focuses on making sure access can truly be an enabler for inclusion and openness.
In particular, we welcome proposals that build on local knowledge and expertise. Our aim is to encourage entrepreneurs, designers, researchers, and innovators from all over the globe to apply. More information about Equal Rating and the Innovation Challenge is available at equalrating.com
Mozilla will be providing dinner and beverages. We hope to see you there!
