And we're back! The London Search Meetup took a sabbatical last year, but we're back with a vengeance in 2013.
Since our last event, two books have been published by members of the meetup. As such, we thought we'd kick off the year with a book-themed event. Join us on Monday, February 11 to hear these speakers discuss the content of their new books:
Martin White (http://www.intranetfocus.com/about/martin-white), managing director of Intranet Focus, and author of Enterprise Search (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/1449330444/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1634&creative=19450&creativeASIN=1449330444&linkCode=as2&tag=dtse-21), published by O’Reilly Media. Tony Russell-Rose (http://isquared.wordpress.com/), director of UXLabs, and Tyler Tate (http://tylertate.com), cofounder of Twigkit, authors of Designing the Search Experience (http://designingthesearchexperience.com), published by Morgan Kaufmann. Doors will open at 18:15, with talks starting at 19:00. The meetup will be held at a new venue: The Betjamin Arms, connected to St. Pancras station. We're very grateful to Comperio (http://www.comperiosearch.com/) for sponsoring the food and drinks on the evening.
Tickets will be available at 12:00 noon, Friday February 1. Attendance is limited to 30 people, so mark your calendars and act quickly to secure your spot. Hope to see you there!
In other news, the Enterprise Search Europe conference is returning to London on May 15-16. Meetup members can receive a 20% discount by entering discount code ESL20 when registering.
