Lo que hacemos

This group is for 20-somethings and 30-somethings who love the outdoors and want to experience it with other like-minded people. All skill levels are welcome. Hikes will mostly be around Atlanta and North Georgia and will vary in difficulty and length.

Looking to meet people? This is a great laid-back group where you'll be sure to have fun and make friends, all while staying in shape or getting in better shape and clearing your mind in the great outdoors.

Dogs are welcome on hikes, but note that a small number of trails will not allow them, and these will be clearly noted beforehand.

If you have any suggestions of hiking locations, feel free to let me know!!

Sat Nov. 16th - Cloudland Canyon - Bear Creek Trail - 7.5mile Loop

Cloudland Canyon State Park

Nov 16th I will be doing the Cloudland Canyon Bear Creek Trail for those who want the best "Complete Traditional Package" hike. This hike has everything from a river, waterfall, massive rock faces, amazing mountain canyon views, creek hike and amazing sparse woods. Last time I was here I even walked up on a rafter of turkey. 😅 With the weather changing, the views/scenery should be quite nice going into winter. This is a hard hike as it does involve continuous elevation change till you get on top of the mountain where it turns into a woods hike. Where it becomes more exhausting, the hardest part is at the beginning and end of the trail. The first mile and last mile are the worse part. Cloudland Canyon is in northwest Georgia and about 2.5 hours from downtown. Best hikes are worth the drive. Keep that in mind for start time and end time. The park has a $5 parking pass that you get when you get there. It is recommended that you bring plenty of fluids, snacks, etc. This hike should take around 5 hours, pending group size and time spent looking at each checkpoint area/scenery. Carpooling - For those wanting to carpool. There are a view carpool options available starting at the Park-n-Ride/Marta Station off of Windward Parkway(exit 12 on 400). Myself and Kellen will be there at 630am. Currently have 3 people carpooling. Spaces therefore will be limited. Please respond in comments if you would like to carpool from this location.
