Sustainable solutions need finance! These solutions can come from startups that are testing a new product / service or can come from SMEs that are developing a new process, improving a product or expanding business. For different types of needs there are different types of financing options. The same project can receive different types of financing alternatives during its life span, depending on its maturity level. This is what Blended Finance is all about: the strategic use of finance for mobilizing different types of financing instruments towards sustainable development. These two talks will be explaining the role of seed and venture capital in early stages, and the importance of lending and equity investment funds in later stages of development, with a focus on the positive impacts that such projects bring to society.
