De qué se trata
This group is for singer/songwriters looking to share and hone their craft. I used to host open mics and workshops in the United States and couldn't find anything like this in Mexico City, so I decided to host it myself! It is a bi-lingual group (English & Spanish) reserved at this point for acoustic singer/songwriters. Those attending will be given a random word or phrase one week in advance in order to prepare a song around this theme in English or Spanish (or perhaps both). Then we will meetup and play our original songs in a circle (hence songwriters in the round), giving feedback and praise for your creations! This meetup is inspired by the songwriting collaboration process that often occurs in Nashville. This meetup will put you directly inside the intimate songwriting process. Your only requirement is to offer humility and support. No naysayers permitted! :)
