Lo que hacemos

The focus of this group is to provide resources and tools that foster the holistic lifestyle, as well as provide an opportunity to meet like-minded people. Through monthly gatherings, members will find the information and support needed to make informed health decisions relating to family wellness. At each meeting we will discuss relevant and interesting health topics, as well as share parenting techniques and ideas!

As our current healthcare system can be a disempowering fear-based model, attempts to shift away from this paradigm are often met with resistance, opposition, criticism, and even intimidation. This group provides a safe, supportive, loving, and judgment-free zone that promotes education and encourages you to consciously examine lifestyle choices. By doing this, we can reduce the fear mindset and empower you to make conscious health decisions for you and your family.

These monthly discussions will be facilitated by a local chiropractor, Dr. Marissa Johnson, a neurologically-based doctor of chiropractic who specializes in pediatrics, pregnancy, and perinatal care. All members of this group will receive a complimentary copy of Pathways to Family Wellness magazine, which will serve as a guide for key talking points. There may also be an occasional guest speaker!

While topics of discussion will be inspired from the magazine, topics will also be largely influenced by the group's interests and may include: nutrition, alternative & complementary medicine, mindset, birth, pregnancy, compassionate parenting, child development, educational reform, allergies and food sensitivities, the vaccine controversy, parent-baby bonding, neurological development, breastfeeding, midwifery & doulas, and more!

There are no fees required for members to attend these meetings. Any community member is welcome to attend and participate. Take some time out of your day to nourish and expand your mind and health options!
