Lean an grúpa pleanála ar aghaidh ag obair i rith an dá bhliain seo caite le comhairliú leis na bpríomh páirtithe leasmhara pobail.

Sult na Sollan started the Irish language planning process in early 2017 with a series of meetings to get input from the community in Co. Kildare. About fifty people attended a public meeting on 13th June 2017 in Sallins and we had plenty of debate and discussion from the audience. As part of the presentations that were given on the night, there was an emphasis put on four particular topics – language status, opportunities to learn Irish, opportunities to speak Irish and the visibility of the language. The planning team continued working on the draft over the last two years with consultation from key stakeholders.

The Minster of State Seán Kyne launched the Irish language plan for Co. Kildare on 28th February in Naas.
