Do you often find yourself daydreaming or tactically thinking about the future and what it will look like in 10, 20,50 years time?
As R. Buckminster Fuller stated that - "We are called to be architects of the future, not its victims". So as I like to say, the best way to predict the future is to invent it.
Long term planning is an oft-ignored aspect of society. Why is it so ignored? Because people think…
1) It’s not useful.
2) It’s not possible.
I believe this is changing, with new generations joining the work force and influencing the way we go about our daily lives, drawing upon concepts such as a shareconomies. We are also seeing cities across the globe implementing 50 year strategic plans to achieve a sustainable future and a rise in futurists alongside development of the study of futurism.
If you have a knack for looking beyond the short term and would be interested in sharing your ideas and discussing others, please request to join and share with us your sector specialisation and what topics you are most interested in to learn or teach about the future of our world. I look forward to seeing the widespread of interests you all bring to the table.
I am not 100% sure what I am going to do with this group yet, but I wanted to see how many people would be interested in being apart of a conscious, connected and forward thinking collection of minds; all thinking and talking about what and how the world will look like in beyond the short term and look 50 - 100 years time.
P.s. I am looking to connect with futurists, aspiring futurists and business leaders that would like to get more involved and share their wisdom. If you can email or message me with a short background or link to your personal website, I will contact you to discuss more about the group and how you can potentially get involved behind the scenes.
