Morning Meditation: Chakra Balancing & Breathwork

Start the New Year off right with a morning meditation practice to get you empowered and energized!

You MUST be signed on to Zoom no later than 7:35am EST in order to be let in.

Join me bright and early for a morning breathwork meditation and Chakra balancing ritual incorporating chants and gentle movements.

This is not a formal instruction but rather a way for you to follow along with me during my morning meditation practice where I combine breathing techniques and a chakra balancing practice using vocal Tai Chi.

If you've been called to start a regular meditation practice but find it difficult to maintain, this alternative style of meditation may be just what you need.

This is EST time but all time zones and humans are welcome.

Breathwork refers to a variety of breathing techniques and exercises that can be used to improve one’s physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual health. In addition to being a popular relaxation method, breathwork has also proven to offer a wide variety of health benefits. This makes it one of the most natural methods of treating a variety of issues.

Chakra Balancing
When our main seven chakras are open and balanced, energy can flow freely through our bodies and minds. When any of these energy centers are blocked, it leads to stagnation and can contribute to a variety of physical and spiritual ailments.

The following are the sounds that are associated with each chakra, along with information about the 7 chakras. You can get familiar with them prior to the meditation.

  1. ROOT/BASE (Earrrr) connects us to the earth about grounding, survival and stability
  2. SACRAL (Ooooh): connected to joys of intimacy, creativity and the ability to give and receive pleasure.
  3. SOLARplex (Ohhhh) healthy boundaries, willpower, ambition and the ability to say no or being in your truth.
  4. HEART (Aaaahhh) love compassion belonging
  5. THROAT (Eyyyye) expression communication
  6. THIRD EYE (Aaayyy) intuition, sense of purpose
  7. CROWN (Eeeee) connection to the divine and all things existing
