This and future Meetups will be held on the 4th MONDAY of every month (which is not always the last Monday of the month as some months have 5 Mondays). We had temporarily moved the Meetup to Tuesday as the Amtrak Southwest Chief Monday service had been suspended during part of Covid. But it is again now running on Mondays and will usually arrive and depart during and within view of our Meetup. Several other Amtrak, Metrolink and freight trains can be viewed during our Meetup right from our tables at the cafe.

The new Meetup time is from 6 PM to 7:30 PM. We hope this new time will make it easier for those of you that have a regular 9 to 5 work schedule to attend.

If you live in or are visiting Southern California and love to travel by rail, then you are very welcome to come to this Meetup! RSVP is not required but is preferred just to have an idea how many people to expect. We can always pull up more chairs to accommodate attendees who have not RSVP'd. We usually have more people attend than have RSVP'd.

We are not a passenger rail advocacy group nor a nuts and bolts railfan group.
