Zero-knowledge proofs drive Ethereum’s scaling and privacy, but prover costs, circuit fragility, bugs, and metadata leaks expose their limits. This talk calls on builders to confront these flaws directly and design ZK systems that are not only powerful in theory, but resilient in practice.

About Lucid Samuel and Kage Protocol
Lucid Samuel is a cypherpunk builder of programmable-privacy systems. He founded Kage Protocol on Ethereum and has worked hands-on with Mina’s o1js and recursive zk stacks to help developers ship zkApps without needing to grok the underlying cryptography, abstracting circuits, constraints, and proofs into clean TypeScript APIs. His work spans Plonkish systems and recursive composition (PLONK/Halo2-style), prover services, encrypted intent routing, and verifiable compliance across ZKPs and MPC-TEE hybrids.
