Dominic is HoP, a financial services business transformation, product development & operations executive with extensive experience in payments & financial messaging. (And a bit of mining..). Previously, Dom was head of SWIFT&Messaging at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority & was also a member of the Audit Executive Committee, defining blockchain strategy. Prior roles include principal payments consultant at Lodestone, Global Tech & Product Dev manager at BoA Merrill Lynch. Trustology's vision is to create the most compelling digital assets company of the 21st century by driving the world's transition to digital assets, in the belief that their use will pioneer new ways to create greater more distributed wealth.
Laurence Kirk—Extropy—"Proof of Kernel Work"
Laurence is an experienced Blockchain Dev & the CEO of Extropy.io, a blockchain consultancy. After a successful career writing low latency financial applications in the City of London, Laurence was captivated by the potential of Blockchain Technology, and in particular smart contracts. He set up Extropy.io, a consultancy working with start-ups in the UK & overseas, developing applications on the Ethereum platform. In his spare time he also runs community training for those interested in blockchain tech. His talk will present a consensus mechanism called Proof of Kernel Work.
