What's a movie that's helped shape or changed the way you think about a topic?

Seemingly such a narrow question (...about a topic?), then I realized... not only did "Brazil" change/augment the way I thought of rebellion, totalitarianism, and love, but "Big" shaped how I thought about reversing roles with a child :)

What's a book or play that did the same as above?

Introduction

I'm a native New Yorker and enjoy movies, both though-provoking and casual.
