Step into the heart of the Montreal Art Center & Museum for a raw, unscripted evening where art meets sharp wit and fearless commentary. Arts on Fire returns with Arts on Fire: The Art of Editorial Cartooning, a live talk show that pulls no punches and invites the audience right into the conversation.
Hosted by artist, author, and former Concordia Journalism professor Wayne Larsen, this episode features two of Montreal’s most outspoken creative voices: Frédéric Serre and Anthony “Napoleon” Bonaparte — both multi-award-winning editorial cartoonists whose distinctive styles and unapologetic humour have captivated (and sometimes scandalized) readers for decades.
From newsroom battles and controversial sketches to the cartoons that nearly didn’t make it to print, Serre and Bonaparte share their stories, inspirations, and unfiltered takes on the role of satire in a changing media landscape.
Experience this one-of-a-kind live show surrounded by the museum’s art-filled setting — where the line between art and commentary blurs, and laughter meets truth.
🎟️ Admission: $10 donation — proceeds support local visual and performing arts at the Montreal Art Center & Museum.
