Bonjour tout le monde,

Le Français, ça ouvre des portes, je serai là à 6h00 pétantes et trébuchantes ( pour accueillir les nouveaux et les débutantes. This Monday we will raise a toast to celebrate the birthday of Alexis de Tocqueville (, French philosopher who visited young USA in 1831 to study the prison system and came back with one the greatest essay ever written "De la Démocratie en Amérique" ("On Democracy in America"). My ancestor François, Vicomte de la Gallais, who is only remembered by my family, died on the side of another de Tocqueville, in 1066 in Hasting. I will have several drinks in his honor.

If you want a free French conversation workshop at happy hour, let's do it : our next French Monday will be held at Ken & Cook in Nolita (yes, again). It's a great Restaurant/Bar with outdoor seating and a great happy hour menu, so you can come as early of 5pm.

We are inviting all of our French groups for French conversations. Join us if you are beginner or advanced french speaker. There will be no music upstairs so its easy to converse with people : we all meet at the bar. Finally, if you want to party after 10pm, we can go downstairs at Lil Charlie's.

If you haven't been with the group this will be a good time to come and meet people.
