Monthly drinks night
Hi Kiwi Club meetup members! This meetup event is just a placeholder. We hold regular monthly drinks nights on the second Thursday of each month at a bar around Manhattan. (We don't use the site to schedule these, as it's too inflexible for us, and has a habit of scheduling next month's meetup at the same venue as last month's, which isn't how we operate.) Go to the Kiwi Club's own website,, for full details of all drinks night locations, as well as our other events! The annual BBQ picnic in the summer, which is usually on the Sunday a week before Labor day. This year will be August 28th, 2016. This is a massive event with barbecued sausages and lamb. Games for the kids like sack races, egg and spoon and three-legged race, a gumboot throwing competition and a tug-of-war between the North and South islands, and a lolly scramble for the kids at the end. We have a Christmas party in December (usually the first or second Saturday), and a number of other events besides. Please go to http://www.kiwiclubny... ( for more details, or email [masked]. And you can follow us on Facebook and Twitter (@KiwiClubNY) You can join the Kiwi Club of NY online at The membership cost is very reasonable and entitles you to members only prices for the summer picnic, the Christmas party in December, and other events during the year.

What we're about

We are a social club for New Zealanders living in the New York City area. The club has been around since the 1980's and became an incorporated non-profit in 1994. We are financially independent from, but operate on good terms with, the New Zealand Consulate General in New York. We are also separate from, but friendly with, KEA (Kiwi Expats Association), a business networking group. We are run by a board of unpaid volunteers, who are all young Kiwi professionals living in or near NYC. We welcome to our club anyone who is a New Zealander or just likes meeting New Zealanders. We hold free open monthly drinks nights, a Kiwi-style summer barbecue, an annual Christmas party, and various other events. Our members range from single professionals to young families to long established expats. We have a financial membership option of $25 a year (individual) $35 (household) which gives you discounts to all our ticketed events and occasionally special offers (e.g. cheap legs of fresh NZ lamb!). Come along to our events and find out how many Kiwis there are in New York whom you already know from home! And see our website,
