Chow down at Queens Night Market

Details
What & Where
The Queens Night Market is NYC’s first & most affordable night market. It’s a large, family-friendly open-air market in Queens, with over 100 independent vendors offering everything from food and art to merchandise, plus small-scale cultural performances. It celebrates the rich cultural diversity and heritage of Queens and the city. (queensnightmarket.com)
The market runs on Saturdays, opening in the late afternoon behind the New York Hall of Science in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park.
Meeting Spot
We’ll meet in front of C-Town at 111th Street and Roosevelt Avenue, right at the 111th Street 7-train stop. From there we’ll walk over together.
What to Expect & Tips
- Lots of delicious street food from many cultures, so bring your appetite.
- Unique handmade goods and art to browse and buy.
- Performances & live cultural displays that make for a festive atmosphere.
- Since it’s outdoors and covers several blocks, wear comfy shoes.
- Bring cash as some vendors may prefer it, and consider bringing a reusable bag.
We’ll explore together starting at 5:30, but there’s no expectation to stay until closing. Everyone is free to enjoy the market at their own pace and head out whenever they like.
Thanks to Ron for the idea.
