MAE Organization for the Homeless Volunteer Opportunity: CLIENT HELP

This event is held twice yearly. Fab 50s offered this volunteer opportunity last year and the members who helped really enjoyed it.

Low-income clients are bused in from all over RI. They are offered a free hot meal, a free haircut, and a huge room to “shop” (free) for warm clothes and personal hygeine items.

This meetup is for those who will be helping clients shop. Remember- everything’s free so you won’t be dealing with cash/cards! You will probably be assigned to a table or area. Ever work retail at the mall as a kid? Think of that. Youll find clothes in certain sizes for someone, and/or re-fold items and organize the clothing on the table, for example. You might be helping with personal hygeine items (1 toothbrush, 1 dry shampoo etc). Wear comfortable clothes/shoes! Bring a sweater/sweatshirt/jacket just in case!

We put the max at 12 people for each. Volunteers need to be 18+. So grateful for all of you!
