Fashion PR 2.0

The PR industry is forced to adopt new digital media strategies in the fast changing web landscape, where bloggers and independent online publishers rule. In addition to the challenge of identifying the right targets, tactics developed through years for magazines and traditional media, don't always apply within the online space. This panel will bring together PR forces behind the fashion industry, both traditional and digital media focused, to share their lessons and provide the insight on the future shaping of the online PR industry and its relations with the online media. In a true web 2.0 fashion, the discussion will be streamed live via, allowing users participation.

AMP3 Public Relations Alyson co-founded AMP3 PR out of a desire to give her clients what they were asking for: a boutique, tailored approach to PR with no B.S. to fit within their means. AMP3 is a boutique lifestyle agency with a niche in Arts & Entertainment-based launch PR. Prior to coming to AMP3 in 2004, Alyson worked as an account executive in both Corporate In-House outlets (Arista Records / SONY BMG), as well as at other boutique lifestyle agencies (focused on Music, Fashion & Nightlife). With a specific interest in Arts & Entertainment as they collide with Web 2.0 – Alyson has helped several start-ups, brands, and individuals to get off the ground, including: Brooklyn Royalty, Happy Valley Nightclub, “The Obama Girl,” Marcus Goldhaber, and, to name a few. I thought this was our best meetup to date. The best turnout. Good venue and outstanding panel. Bringing more of the tech community on board will turn out to be a really interesting twist on fashion 2.0

The panel discussion was good, but I would have liked to see a more facilitated mingle session. With so much energy and experience in the room, it's hard to know who to talk to and for what purpose.
