FGI San Diego is assisting with a fashion show and luncheon benefit to help preserve 7000+ historic clothing items that comprise the permanent collection at the San Diego History Center (one of the most significant collections on the west coast!).
The fashion show will highlight the past, present and future of fashion. The "past" will encompass fashion from the 20th century, the "present" will showcase local boutique owners and the "future" will be that of local fashion design students flexing their imagination muscles.
The event is Friday, June 6th from 11 am to 1 pm.
FGI San Diego is in need of 6-8 volunteers to assist in the administration of the event. Volunteers will either be responsible to assist at the entrance table and/or assist with the Silent Auction tables. In exchange for volunteering, you will be able to attend the fashion show for free (lunch will NOT be included, but the fashion show will).
If you are available and interested, please email [masked] and put in the subject line VOLUNTEER FOR LUNCHEON FASHION SHOW. Please include your name (first and last), a phone number to reach you at as well as an email address to reach you at.
Want to attend the event but not volunteer? Tickets might still be available (as well as more information on the event) at http://www.sandiegohistory.org/calendar/FashionLuncheon
