About Patrick Mulhearn

Patrick Mulhearn is the first president of the Louisiana Industry for Film and Entertainment Louisiana Film & Entertainment Association (LIFE now LFEA) http://www.lfea.org , trade association. Mulhearn joined Raleigh Studios Baton Rouge at the Celtic Media Centre as the Director of Studio Operations in September of 2009. Prior to that, he was the Assistant Director of Film and Television for the State of Louisiana http://www.louisianaentertainment.gov having joined Louisiana Economic Development in 2006. Originally from Natchez, Mississippi, Mulhearn started out in film studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder but transferred to Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in 1994 where he received his B.A. in political science and English. He also received his Master of Arts in the Liberal Arts in 2000 from LSU with a focus on mass communication.

Before joining LED, Mulhearn began his career working as an advertising copywriter at the Weill Agency in Baton Rouge. He went on to serve as a Marketing Producer at both WBRZ-TV in Baton Rouge and WWL-TV in New Orleans. A formally trained post-production editor, his work on the station’s “Spirit of Louisiana” campaign earned him a Regional Emmy from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. His writing, editing, producing and marketing skills have earned a number of other awards including the ABC Television Network’s Alpha award for television promotion in as well as local Advertising Federation “Addy” awards for television advertising and promotion.

Today he runs the first and largest design-built studio facility operating in Louisiana, CELTIC MEDIA CENTRE http://celticmediacentre.com/ ,which hosted Sony’s Battle: Los Angeles, NBC Universal’s Battleship, and Summit’s Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Parts 1 and 2. He is a member of the Baton Rouge Film Commission Advisory Board. Mulhearn was selected as a one of the Baton Rouge Business Report’s 2009 “Forty under Forty” and one of “2010’s People to Watch” by 225 Magazine. He resides in Brusly with his wife and two sons.
