Hi-tech for high profit: Digital twins, geospatial data and property investment.

Hi Rebels, For this event we are delighted to have two expert speakers coming to enlighten on us on two areas where hi-tech is contributing to high profits – the so-called “digital twin” of buildings, and the use of geospatial data within finance and property investment. Rupert Parker, Director of Future-proofing at Avison Young, one of the world’s fastest growing real estate firms, will be talking about the impact of the Digital Twin on property investment, while Alex Wrottesley, Head of Geovation, the HM Land Registry and Ordnance Survey-supported accelerator for geospatial and property innovation will be talking about the use of geospatial data to support investment decisions. We are partnered with The International Property Investment Network (IPIN) and our main sponsor, Pionr (www.pionr.com) warmly invite you to join them for a fascinating evening of insights and ideas from the interweaving worlds of property investment and technology, kindly hosted by Laytons LLP (www.laytons.com) at their stunning riverside offices. We will also be running a panel discussion (details TBC), so there’ll be plenty of opportunity to get involved in the dialogue and find out more about what interests you specifically. And of course, there will be drinks and networking after the formal sessions, so you'll have the opportunity to make new connections and swap ideas. We expect to be oversubscribed (for our last event nearly 300 people registered for 80 spots!), so RSVP soon to avoid disappointment. If you would like to bring a guest, please ask them to join the group and register their attendance. 630PM Networking, Nibbles & Flash Pitches 7PM Confirmed Speakers: 8PM Panel Rupert Parker, Head of Future-proofing, Avison Young (www.avisonyoung.com) Rupert set up and runs Avison Young’s startup incubator; the Entrepreneur in Residence Programme. Radical Futures [Hot topic] Surveillance Economy

Needs a location

Hi Rebels, We are excited to tackle this emerging topic with some exciting speakers & panelists. 'Economic pressures of capitalism are driving the intensification of connection and monitoring online with spaces of social life becoming open to saturation by corporate actors, directed at the making of profit and/or the regulation of action. Relevantly, Turow writes that "centrality of corporate power is a direct reality at the very heart of the digital age". Capitalism has become focused on expanding the proportion of social life that is open to data collection and data processing. This may come with significant implications for vulnerability and control of society as well as for privacy.' 630pm Networking & Nibbles 7pm Speakers & Panel - TBC Here are some of the areas that we’ll be looking at: 8pm Panel + Questions from host & the audience 830pm Mixing & Final Drinks 9pm Close Kindest regards, Zee & Team Please say hello if you would like to speak, sponsor or collaborate!
