Come to the Singles Under Sail Meeting where Captain Michael Miller will be presenting a slide talk about sailing in Croatia!

The Dalmatian Islands of Croatia have ascended in prominence as a desired sailing ground. They lie in the Adriatic sea to the south of Split, Croatia, and spread along the coast to Dubrovnik, at the very south of the country. The area contains numerous islands, the largest of which include Brac, Hvar, Vis, Korcula, Mljet, and Lastovo. Dubrovnik is well worth a visit. The area offers clear blue water, islands rich with history, fabulous cuisine, architecture and people, along with a fair and sunny climate in season.

Admission: $10 for Meetup members, $5 for SUS Club members.

Captain Michael Miller, USCG Licensed Master, has been a mariner for over 50 years. He is certified as Small Boat and Keel Boat Instructor by US Sailing Association and is Director of the sailing program for Appalachian Mountain Club, Fire Island Cabin in Atlantique, NY where he has led sailing instruction for 12 years and is the organizer of the Fire Island Sailing Alliance Meetup Group. Captain Michael has run charters throughout the Caribbean and Mediterranean Seas, including trips in Croatia, Greece, Turkey, Sardinia and Corsica.

Singles Under Sail is in its 27th sailing season of fun and adventure! As always, our Activities Calendar is filled with our annual two-week cruise, weekend overnight sails, day sails, twilight sails, dockside learning, program meetings, social meetings, and dinner parties. I had a great time! Around 60 enthusiastic SUSers were an attentive audience and we had a great time exploring the Islands and talking about chartering in Croatia.

Yes, I would like to attend. I'll be coming by train. Anyone driving back to NYC afterward who could give me a lift back?
