We are a very close-knit group of 40 moms who enjoy spending time together on a weekly basis. Most of our events are close to Fort Mill, however we set up occasional play dates in most of the above areas. Our children are between the ages of 1 week to 6 years old. We are not currently accepting 1st time pregnant moms or moms with only children over 6.
We are a very close, very social group looking to build lasting friendships for our children and ourselves. This group will remain small to encourage communication and to allow friendships to thrive, and therefore, a minimum level of attendance is required by all members. Policies apply, including minimum attendance, regardless of whether dues have been paid. Dues will not be refunded if you are removed from the group. If you are removed from the group for lack of attendance, you can re-join the group only once. There is a 2 strikes policy on re-joining for attendance reasons. However, we are mommies, and we understand that life happens and exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis.
We plan lots of events and they are in the mornings, afternoons and on weekends. Typical events can consist of play dates in each other's homes, at parks, the pool, or rec. centers, moms night out (MNO), family dinners and family fun (weekend) days, monthly meet & greet luncheons, game nights and holiday parties. So, there's a little bit of something for everyone!! We welcome suggestions, and we will try to accommodate the majority of the group.
Please always use good "mom code" at any event. This means watching out for all of our kids. If they appear to be in any danger - Act! There are also a few group rules that we adhere to, however you can be removed from the group for any reason, at an Organizer's discretion.
Please only join this group if you are going to be an active and considerate participant. That means:
1.) attending at least 1 event every month, including your first month with the group
2.) you can only sign up for a playdate in someone's home if you have already attended a public event
3.) for events in someone's home or for large events where reservations are made on your behalf, there is a 24-hour cancellation policy. This allows the hosts (and restaurants!) to plan for our large number of attendees, as well as allows anyone on the waiting list enough time to make plans to attend.
4.) If your plans change the day of, you MUST change your RSVP status and leave a message for each event. It's not enough to write a message within the event notes or only change RSVP status. Attendance of a "no-show" for 3 events (public events where no reservations are made) or 1 "Featured" party, MNO, etc (or, any time that food, reservations or ANYplans are made for you) aren't allowed. Also, please respect the event start times. Arriving at an event one hour after the scheduled start time (unless it's a drop-in) will change your RSVP status to either a no-show or a not attended, depending on whether you have made an effort to communicate with an organizer. Honesty is the best policy, we all have crazy kids that have made us lose our minds, but we need to be in the know.
5.)The safety of our kids is the most important thing to us. If your child is outwardly ill, please stay home. Also, in order to join our group, your children MUST be up to date on all current health vaccinations, as directed by the CDC.
***** Failure to comply will result in removal from the group.*****
