Honeymoon Island Beach Hike
Details
Hey-o, let's go for a beach hike on Honeymoon Island State Park: ~8 miles roundtrip at ~3mph+. We hike with a casual friendly adventurous attitude, yet maintain a constant brisk pace.

Meet up at South Parking Lot (aka Main Beach Parking Lot) at 1 Causeway Blvd, Dunedin, FL.
State Park opens at 8a and the entrance fee is $8.00 or pre-paid with State Park Pass.
The queue of cars can be long, so get there early.
Public restrooms available at the parking lot.
Please be prepared with all your own day-hiking supplies:
water, snacks, hat, bug repellent, sunscreen, sunglasses, etc.
It's going to be hot, so we will take a short water/snack break on the beach at the north end of the island before our walk back to the Cafe for lunch.
And, please self-evaluate your ability to keep pace in the heat -- this is no joke! -- if you don't know this information about yourself, find out before you join-in. It's for your safety and the enjoyment of the group.
We do say, "hike your own hike"; so, if you fall behind or run ahead, and lose the group, then that's just the way it is.
Optional lunch at The South Pavillon Cafe.
Bring your beach gear if you want to relax on the beach afterwards.
Event will cancel upon inclement weather or lack of sufficient interest.
As per the management, NO GUESTS allowed; please sign up/register as a Member to participate.
