RE: [flyfilms] Fly-In #2: Save the Date

Thanks Shawn,
I know that the venue on Sunday was "prefect", but I am from Denver and I was wondering what the minimum constraints are for a meet up. Parking lots, Skate parks, Construction Sites, Parks, Industrial Sites, Railroad yards, Publics spaces. Are there restrictions in public places or maybe safety issues( from aircraft falling from the sky! or power lines).
I want to ask these questions because I would like to scout out locations and I would like to have realistic criteria for that purpose.
Thanks, Nelson

Hey Gang,
We had a fantastic day on Sunday- perfect weather, killer location, fun flying, great people and free pizza. We had around 30 people and at least 25 helicopters of all types. Thanks again to Bob R. for hosting us (and Patrick for the pizza).
Let's do another fly-in. Mark your calendars: Sunday Feb 23rd, in Denver (location TBD).
If anyone has a good suggestion on a location, please let me know. Once I find a good spot where we can set up, shoot the sh*t and fly like we did in Boulder.  I'll put the details and RSVP up on Meetup, once things gel.
Lastly, the response to adding a classroom, or "how to" type meetup was an overwhelming "yes". Look for a poll on MeetUp for topic choices for first one.  I'm thinking a "Basics of RC Multirotor" is a logical starting point, but will let the group decide.
Last lastly, as discussed, I created a FaceBook page to keep ideas and energy going--    GO LIKE IT NOW:
