Have you ever performed music in front of an audience (not counting Karaoke or social jams)?

Perhaps 2 or 3 times over past 30 years. I prefer group jams & singalongs! (I've written about 40 folk songs, but rarely play them outside my house.)

Do you play or are you learning a musical instrument? If so, which?

I've been playing basic folk-style accoustic guitar (Martin D16GT) at Grade D-/C+ for almost 40 years, and am always learning.

Who's your #1 favorite folk or folk-rock performer? Or, who are some of your favorites?

Pick one??? I like & play some Schooner Fare, Paxton, Simon & Garfunkle, PP&M, Kate Wolf, etc.

What are some of your favorite folk or folk-rock songs?

Most often played now: Across the Great Divide + Green Eyes (Kate Wolf), Kathy's Song + The Boxer (S&G), The Rose, Changes (Phil Ochs) Brown-Eyed Girl, Leviathan + Cape Bretton (Schooner Fare), Circle Game, Try to Remember, Mr. Bogangles, Last Thing on My Mind (Paxton), Ripple (Grateful Dead), River +Roseville Fare (Bill Staines), Country Roads, Sweet Baby James...(I have a ring binder with over 200 songs I like)

Tell us anything else about yourself you'd care to tell. Answering all these questions is optional, but we're interested.

Introduction

Hi Folksingers! I'm Jay. I love folk guitar singalongs. I'm not (yet?) a good player - I do best with a songsheet (words&chords :-). Hope to see you soon! Jay
