All clear to keep on meeting in Crystal City!

The New Crystal City Minstrels live on!

Rebecca the manager says as long as you keep a fixed schedule, there shouldn't be any problem with availability. So you can count on continuing to meet there twice a month.

The next step is for me to get the contact information of two organizers so I can forward that information to Rebecca. Then I will introduce you two (by email) to Rebecca, George (the assistant manager and "hands on" guy), and Rosemond, the lead concierge (who will be in charge of booking you in the computer).

My way of working with them was to reserve the room with Rosemond about four or five days in advance and give her a check at that time. Even though they know it's the first and third Saturday, they don't automatically reserve anything. You have to interact with them.

I always hand wrote a receipt and asked Rosemond to initial it just in case the front desk person on Saturday knew nothing about it. The Saturday staff is usually one of a wide variety of temps and sometimes they don't get the message.

I'd suggest reserving by email and sending a check in the mail so it arrives a few days before the Saturday in question, unless Rebecca wants you to work it out some other way. And take a copy of your email communication with you on Saturday just in case the Saturday clerk is clueless.

So would two organizers for this purpose please step forward?
