Is local, organic, regeneratively grown food something you care about? Do you like delicious food, good people (who care about life on this planet), and fun get-togethers? Let's do this!
This is a member driven group. We will take turns hosting in our homes, in parks and wilderness areas, and occasionally in restaurants. Members can host outings to events that interest them, like food preservation or cooking classes, farm tours, parties, wine tastings, farmer's markets, and anything else related to local food.
Looking for backyard gardeners, permaculturists, small farms, homesteaders, farmer's market enthusiasts, local food system proponents, food bank volunteers, and anyone else who cares about food and the health of the planet.
We only want people to charge what they need to to cover costs. Anyone can suggest an event, however, admin has the right to refuse the posting of events that are unrelated to the core reasons for this group or that are clearly for profit.
We are on a 40 acre piece of heaven along the Clackamas River near Carver, 12 mins from Happy Valley and 30 mins from downtown Portland. With River access and forest, our place is great for summer hosting, we also have a huge great room with fireplace for winter hosting. We would like to keep events within 30 mins of downtown Portland in any direction as much as possible.
