Go the Mario Testino Photo Exhibit @ the MFA & Talk About the Art of Photography

http://www.mfa.org/exhibitions/mario-testino.

I would love to see this exhibit at the MFAand then go for drinks/dinner to discuss our thoughts on the art of photography....

Is photography a true art form or is an exhibit like this 'frivolous'?

Do you prefer raw photo-journalism, or simple human portraits, architectural photography, black & white only?

You will have to purchase your own entrance tickets to the Museum and we can decide where to meet the week prior to the event.

So, by popular vote it's Saturday, February 2nd at 3:00 pm.

PS/

You are also welcome to join us for drinks afterward and the discussion, even if you can't or don't want to see the exhibit, at:

http://www.themissionbar.com/

(PPS/ To avoid confusion: this is the Testino exhibit of Hollywood photos that end on February 3rd, .not the Royal Family exhibit that goes until June.)

Thanks for trying to find me. Did you discuss afterward? I am glad I saw the show even though I'm not into the celebrity and high-attitude scene.

Hi Janet, Sorry too..it was just impossible to begin looking for someone in that kind of a crowd. I did wait outside the exhibit with Raaed..we found Susan and went in to the exhibit around 3:20 pm....well "Food For Thought' for sure for the next time I try & plan an event centered on a public exhibit, etc...hope you enjoyed it.

Sorry I was too late to find everyone. I had no idea the show was so big, dark, and crowded.

Not sure what we're going to do yet..some people are driving, others I guess are taking public transportation, so I may plan a dinner a little further out where there is parking without stress...I'll figure it out by Friday.

Hope we also end up near the T for dinner. Thanks!

Anyone have a suggestion for where to do for drinks/dinner after the exhibit? The Museum closes at 4:45 pm, so I am going earlier in the day to enjoy a few more exhibits, then will meet you all in front of the Testino Exhibit at 3:00 pm. Ideas for restaurants are welcome...especially if parking is not an issue and it isn't more than 20 minutes or so from the MFA. Thanks, everyone!
