There are a few places throughout the city that I would love to use as a meetup destination but just aren't big enough to tolerate a group of any size. The Tamari location in Lawrenceville is somewhere near the top of that list. Thankfully, there's a new Tamari location for us to target up in Warrendale. The new-ish location in the Northern suburbs has more space to work with, so I gave them a call to set up a meetup outing. Luckily, they were happy to host our group.

For those unfamiliar with the original location, Tamari features a surprising blend of cuisines: Asian-Latin fusion. It sounds odd, but it works. The menu is divided between both small plates and sushi -- with small plates drawing on Asian themes, Latin themes, and sometimes a little of each. For the most part, the portions are small enough that each guest can order a few different plates -- possibly sharing with the rest of his group. In other words, Tamari offers up an excellent format for a meetup.
Want to come out and give the North Hills location a try? RSVP now and come join me in Warrendale in a few weeks to enjoy the North Hills edition of one of my favorite Pittsburgh restaurants. Hope to see you all there!
