Flying a jet pack was possibly the coolest event we've ever done. It was everything we were hoping for and then some.

This is Bri's video (and yes, this was her first time!):

GODDAMNIT LET'S DO IT AGAIN!!!!!!

And here's some even better news: I met the president and since I told him I can probably bring him a lot of business, he offered us an even better deal than what we had before: half a day (four hours), 12 people for[masked] per person!!

Just like last time each person will get to fly by him/herself. You fly up to 30 feet in the air, at 35mph piloting your own jet pack! They will have an instructor down below guiding you, but you will be actually piloting the jet pack all by yourself!

New people will learn what Bri is doing on the video: take off, low and high taxi, flying, turning, walking on water, the submarine, etc.

Those of us who are returning will take from where we left off and start learning more advanced stuff.

Here's some more info from Jetlev's website:

WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE DAY OF YOUR FLIGHT:

- Arrive one hour before your scheduled flight time, which will give you sufficient time to fill out the necessary paperwork, make any payments, and watch the training video

- Drive from our office off 26th Street to our beach training location off 18th Street (View map of office and training location)

- Meet your instructors on the beach (look for the red Jetlev Southwest flag on our pontoon boat)

- Go through an equipment overview and flight instruction explanation- Strap in and start your flight (the instructor will control the throttle via remote control, so you can focus on learning the steering controls)

- Learn basic maneuvers, such as hovering, underwater submarines, donut turns, walking on water, etc.

- Take a quick break for a couple minutes to rest and ask any questions

- Complete the second half of your flight (this is when things really get fun, the controls start to “click” and you can focus on going higher, doing tighter turns and feeling the “Jetlev Flight Experience”)

- The second half of the flight will be filmed via GoPro HD camera (if Video Package was purchased)

- Head back to the office to transfer your GoPro High Definition video footage onto a DVD (if Video Package was purchased)

- Book follow-up flight time, sign up for our Jetlev Junkies frequent flyer program, and pick up a Jetlev Southwest t-shirt and baseball hat to commemorate your flight

- Head home with memories to last a lifetime

As always, need your payment right away when you RSVP. It is really hard to keep track of who paid and who didn't, so if you RSVP and don't send me the payment I will remove your RSVP so you go back and RSVP again and pay. And if I remove you and someone else takes your spot before you go back and RSVP again, there is nothing I can do. That has happened before, so please make sure to pay immediately when you RSVP. If you would like to come but need A LITTLE time to pay, please let me know, but you do have to pay soon because I have to send them the payment.

If you would like to have them film you, they have two video packages: a one-camera for 59.00 or a three-camera for 149.00. The one-camera is shot by a camera man from a jet ski that will follow you. The three-camera also has one camera mounted on the control arm of the jet pack filming your face and another one looking over your shoulder. We all got the one-camera one last time. You can add the video packages at the office before we start the whole thing.

Flight Center LocationJetlev Southwest is located at 2600 Newport Blvd, Suite 122, Newport Beach, CA 92663. They HIGHLY recommend printing the PDF map at the following URL, which shows the detailed location of the office, the underground FREE parking and the beach where we do the flight training (a few blocks away - metered parking):

http://www.jetlevsouthwest.com/Jetlev%20Southwest%20Location%20Map%20-%2018th%20St%20Training%20Area.pdf

What to Bring:

- Swimsuit

- Towel

- Sunscreen

- Wetsuit/drysuit if you have one,  otherwise, they have plenty to use.

- Beach chair (if you'd like something to sit on to watch the pilots before or after you)

- Sweatshirt or jacket (to keep warm after your flight)

- Quarters for the parking meters, if you choose to drive and park at the training location (we recommend parking in our underground garage and walking to the training location - saves about $6 in meter charges)

Other Policies:

- Pilots must be able to swim.

- Pilots must be at least 18 years of age, in good physical shape and completely sober to participate.

- Women who are pregnant should not participate

All right, I think that pretty much covers it.

Let's go fly!!!!!!

Eduardo.

I notice there's an attachment to the pilot in a couple photos. Is that for their remote control of jet pack or do we ultimately get to pilot it ourselves?

You pilot yourself the entire time. And you will fall! :-)Look at the video and at the very end they show her falling.

Thanks. Unfortunately, the video does not appear on my screen. Probably because it has flash cookies that store personal information from the computers that download it. I have blocks on those kind of videos. Wish they wouldn't make videos like that. They don't need my personal info... Thanks for answering, though.
