We will be taking a trip back in time at historic Mackenzie House where we will be baking seasonal desserts in the historic kitchen using traditional recipes.  You will be put into teams to make the treats using NO modern gadgets over the fire.

After we make the desserts we get to eat them!  A guided tour of the museum is also included.

Tickets are $20 and you must call them and book in advance to[masked]

These tickets will sell out quickly so do it NOW.  Just by signing up on this page DOESN'T guarantee you a spot.

It gets hot in the kitchen working over the fire so wear cool clothing.

For those of you who wanted to do the historic baking but weren't able to get a ticket, I have two spots available for historic baking on the west end. If you are CERTAIN to attend then write me directly to get a spot. Here's the info:

    Sunday, November 20, 1 to 5 p.m, Montgomery’s Inn, 4709 Dundas west, cost is $12.19

Take part in historic baking when the Inn’s team of Historic Cooks in period costume presents an afternoon of cooking demonstrations that focus on traditional Christmas treats like shortbread, fruitcake, mincemeat and Twelfth-Cake according to authentic historic recipes and using antique equipment on the date traditionally set aside for holiday baking. You will help bake the treats then you get to eat them along with a historic lunch.
