Main Street Fort Worth Art Festival
Details
Let's go to the Main Street Art Festival in Fort Worth! This is my favorite art show in the area, boasting hundreds of artists. Whether you're shopping for some new decorations or just want to enjoy the creativity of artists from across the country, this is a fun event to walk around. In addition to the art, there are a few food vendors at the north and south end of the show. For more details about the event, see the official website.
Let's meet at the food booths near 9th and Main Street at about 10:00am. Due to potential travel impacts from closed streets and difficulty finding parking, we'll wait about 15 minutes for everyone to arrive before starting to walk around the show. As crowded as this event can be, it may be difficult to find the group if you're late. I'll try to keep an eye out for comments on the app.
Note:
Several streets are closed for this show, including Main Street between 9th Street and Weatherford Street. This may make traveling through downtown challenging. I recommend coming to downtown via Belknapp or Lancaster to avoid the closures.
Parking may also be a challenge. Each year I've attended, I've parked in street spots near Old City Hall at 200 Texas St. Last I checked, these spots were free during the weekend. Transit may also be an option - the train station is about three blocks from the show.
