We'll first enter the old king's palace, full of stories and hidden gems, turned into France's most prestigious Justice tribunal housing King Saint Louis's former bedroom where Queen Marie Antoinette was on trial.
A vantage point allows us to admire the Sainte Chapelle from outside, as a perfect example of Gothic refinement. Built in just 6 years within the king's palace, it used to house the most precious relics of the Christian world: the Crown of Thorns of Jesus Christ.
We'll then head for Notre Dame Cathedral to gather its long history and origin with the sumptuous 13th century facade and famous portals. Due to the fire in April 2019, interior visits have been suspended, but several streets will enable us to admire the magnificent roses and many other Gothic! pinacles, flying buttresses, ogival arches.
After a stroll into the side streets, unfolding more houses and hidden jewels from the Gothic period, we'll head for two other churches close by, both of them showing different features as well as evolution in Gothic architecture.
A drink has been scheduled at the end of the tour in one of Paris's oldest cabarets with amazing gothic vaulted cellars of course!
