Presented by David S. Paris, Retired Aerospace Engineer

When ancient people looked up at the night sky, the moon was the brightest object they saw. Through the ages, people created myths, wrote poems and stories, and made movies about the moon and their desire to go there and explore.

Dave Paris returns to the library to cover some of that history of the moon in literature, what facts we know about the moon, theories about the formation of the moon, and—on the 50th anniversary of the first lunar landing—past, current and possible future exploration missions to the moon.
