Critics of both the current administration and the last have made accusations that the Executive and Judicial branches of our government were overstepping their bounds and upsetting the balance of power. Neither the accusations nor the struggle for power is new. Before the ink was even dry on the Founding Documents, our representatives were testing the balance of our three-legged federal system.
In this meeting we’ll look at the balance of power from both present day and historical perspectives. Are the powers of the government balanced? Have they ever been?
